A wound that has not improved in weeks may need a fresh clinical assessment, not simply another dressing. Our provider-led evaluation takes place at our Sandy clinic, looks at why healing may have stalled, and helps determine whether Soma is an appropriate care setting or whether you need a wound center, surgeon, or urgent treatment.
Does this sound familiar?
Who tends to call us.
You might recognize yourself here
A wound is healing more slowly than expected or has stalled
You have questions about circulation, metabolic health, pressure, nutrition, or other factors affecting healing
Current care feels fragmented and you need a clearer, coordinated plan
You or a caregiver want to understand whether an additional clinical evaluation may be useful
What we are not
Soma is not an emergency department. Fever, spreading redness, rapidly worsening pain, foul drainage, blackened tissue, uncontrolled bleeding, or signs of reduced circulation require urgent medical care. Wound type, severity, and current treatment determine whether Soma can participate or whether another wound-care setting is more appropriate.

An assessment helps determine what is known, what still needs clarification, and whether Soma is an appropriate setting for your next step.

Common questions
Useful answers. Without overpromising.
Can Soma treat an actively infected wound?
An active infection requires appropriate medical treatment first and may need urgent or emergency care. We will refer you to the proper setting rather than delay the care you need.
Do you work with my regular doctor?
Yes, when appropriate and with your authorization. Wound healing can depend on circulation, glucose control, nutrition, pressure, and other health factors, so coordinated care is often valuable.
Will I need outside labs or imaging?
That depends on the wound and your health history. Your clinician will explain which laboratory work or imaging may be useful and whether it should be completed through an outside facility.
What wound types does Soma currently treat?
Soma provides advanced wound care for appropriate complex or slow-healing wounds. Suitability depends on the wound type, severity, circulation, infection risk, health history, and current treatment, so our team confirms fit through an individualized clinical evaluation.
Is this emergency care?
No. Soma’s website and chat are not emergency services.
