Stem Cells

Advanced IV and targeted treatments surrounded by individualized preparation and recovery protocols.

A considered approach

Understand first.
Recommend second.

Stem cell therapy is the central focus of our regenerative practice. We approach it as a complete care journey—beginning with a personalized assessment, continuing through an IV or targeted treatment when appropriate, and extending into a structured recovery protocol.

This page is a starting point for our conversation—not a recommendation or a substitute for medical advice. Candidacy and treatment decisions are made only after your personalized assessment and results review.

The stem-cell secretome

Cells communicate through
more than one signal.

Mesenchymal stromal/stem cells can release a broad collection of biologically active substances. Together, these signals are often described as the cell’s secretome.

  1. 01

    Exosomes & extracellular vesicles

Small membrane-bound packages that carry proteins, lipids, mRNA, microRNA, and other signals between cells.

  2. 02

    Cytokines & chemokines

Signaling proteins involved in immune activity, inflammation, and the movement and behavior of immune cells.

  3. 03

    Growth factors

Signals that can influence blood-vessel formation, cell survival, proliferation, and tissue remodeling.

  4. 04

    Genetic signaling molecules

mRNA and microRNA that can affect how recipient cells regulate genes and biological pathways.

  5. 05

    Extracellular-matrix proteins

Structural and signaling molecules—including fibronectin, collagen-related proteins, and laminins—that influence the cellular environment.

  6. 06

    Enzymes, antioxidants & metabolic mediators

Molecules that may influence oxidative stress, immune activity, nitric-oxide signaling, and cellular metabolism.

  7. 07

    Lipids & lipid mediators

Signaling molecules that participate in inflammation, immune function, and cell-membrane biology.

  8. 08

    Extracellular enzymes

Proteins involved in remodeling surrounding tissue and regulating signaling pathways.

  9. 09

    Antimicrobial peptides

Molecules that some mesenchymal stromal cells can produce under specific conditions as part of innate biological defense.

  10. 10

    Metabolites & small signaling molecules

Compounds such as prostaglandins and adenosine-related mediators that may influence immune responses and cellular behavior.

An important distinction: live stem cells, the substances they release, and isolated exosome products are not interchangeable. Composition varies with cell source, processing, manufacturing, and other conditions. Soma explains the proposed product and its regulatory status before any treatment decision is made.

Why patients explore it

  • Persistent musculoskeletal or soft-tissue concerns
  • Recovery and mobility goals
  • A regenerative approach beyond symptom management
02

What shapes your plan

  • Clinical history and physical assessment
  • Relevant imaging or diagnostic review
  • A candidacy, risk, and alternatives discussion
