Peripheral Neuropathy & Nerve Pain

A measured path for people researching numbness, tingling, burning, sensory changes, or balance concerns.

Burning, numbness, and nerve pain in the hands and feet.

Peripheral neuropathy is often managed with medications aimed at reducing symptoms. A provider-led evaluation looks more broadly at your history, metabolic health, prior testing, and functional changes to determine whether a structured care plan is reasonable in your case—and to give you an honest answer when it is not.

Does this sound familiar?

Who tends to
call us.

You might recognize yourself here

  • Numbness, tingling, burning, or altered sensation is affecting daily life
  • Balance, walking confidence, sleep, or fine-motor tasks have changed
  • Symptoms have persisted despite initial treatment or the cause remains unclear
  • You want a more complete review of prior testing, health history, and reasonable next steps

What we are not

Peripheral nerve symptoms can have many causes and Soma is not an emergency neurological service. Sudden one-sided weakness, facial droop, speech changes, rapid progression, or new loss of bladder or bowel control requires immediate medical attention. Additional diagnostic workup or specialist coordination may be recommended before any plan is considered.

Your evaluation

Understand the full picture.
Then build the right plan.

An assessment helps determine what is known, what still needs clarification, and whether Soma is an appropriate setting for your next step.

  1. Medical history, medications, and symptom distribution
  2. Review of prior testing and known diagnoses
  3. Coordination or referral when further diagnostic workup is needed

Common questions

Useful answers.
Without overpromising.

Will this reverse my neuropathy?

We will not tell you that. Nerve recovery can be slow and uncertain, and the evidence for regenerative approaches in this area is still developing. What we can do is assess candidacy, discuss limitations, and be transparent about the uncertainty.

Is this covered as a diabetic treatment?

No. Soma’s regenerative services are elective and self-pay. If your neuropathy is related to diabetes, metabolic and glucose management remain foundational, and care should continue with the clinicians managing those conditions.

Do I need a referral?

A referral is not required to request a consultation. Bring your medication list, recent laboratory work, and relevant testing or specialist records to the evaluation when available.

Do you guarantee nerve regeneration?

No. We do not claim or guarantee nerve regeneration, reversal of neuropathy, or a specific result.

Will you coordinate with my other clinicians?

When appropriate and authorized, coordination may help place your evaluation in the context of existing diagnoses, testing, and treatment.
